  1. Naturally the lobby effort of Tony Blair popped up speaking of Azerbaijan … quite likely at the time he was acting as ME peace envoy Israel-Palestine. 🇵🇸 2007-2015

It’s a complicated world … Armenia on the pyre of a destroyed UA. NWO

  2. Replicating [Azeri] Success: Turkmenistan’s Arsenal of Israeli SkyStriker Loitering Munitions

The SkyStriker systems were used with great effect on the side of Azerbaijan against Armenian forces during the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh War and also in earlier skirmishes between both countries. Azerbaijan operates both the early variant of the SkyStriker and the newer variant, which is the variant that also entered service with Turkmenistan.

  3. Wow. Richard. We didn’t know you were an old Caucasus hand!

    Richard said:
“… Nagorno-Karabakh, an enclave of ethnic Armenians which Azerbaijan claims as it own. ”

No, Richard. Azerbaijan doesn’t ‘claim’ the Nagorno-Karabakh enclave.
    Nagorno-Karabakh is internationally-recognized as Azerbaijan’s sovereign territory.

Richard said: ” He [Aliyev] saw that with Russia preoccupied, and Armenia left out in the cold with few avenues to arm itself, now was the time to strike. ”

Nope. Putin was seeking to punish Armenian PM Pashinyan over his search for new Western partners, and reduce its decades-long dependence on Russia.

Russia has sold out their long time ally, Armenia in search of a more realistic partnership with Turkey and
    Azerbaijan.

    1. @Q:

      Nagorno-Karabakh is internationally-recognized

By your logic, Israeli occupation of Palestine is not internationally recognized. So it cannot be sovereign Israeli territory. Further, Azerbaijan has taken control of Nagorno-Karabakh by force and against the will of its inhabitants. That is illegitimate regardless of who recognizes it.

Putin was seeking to punish Armenian PM Pashinyan over his search for new Western partners, and reduce its decades-long dependence on Russia

Not the argument he advanced. Russia said that Armenia had given up its claim to Nagorno Karabakh. It hadn’t. But it simple had no means to defend its claim because it didn’t have Turkish & Israeli weapons as Azerbaijan did. Second, Russia could not offer Armenia anything because it cannot spare any forces or weapons due to its quagmire in Ukraine.
