The dreaded ‘I’ word is on more and more lips these past two days with news of Bush’s bush-league end-around the Constitution. Last July, Jim Zogby released poll numbers indicating that a significant minority of Americans believed Congress should consider impeaching George Bush if he was found to have lied about the reasons for war in Iraq:
More than four in 10 Americans, according to a recent Zogby poll, say that if President Bush did not tell the truth about his reasons for going to war with Iraq, Congress should consider holding him accountable through impeachment.
I’m waiting for some enterprising pollster to ask the American people:
Do you believe that Congress should impeach George Bush if his executive spying order was a breach of the Constitution and federal law?
Now, that might reveal some interesting poll numbers! Members of Congress take note!
Bush is a total loser having brought down this country a thousand different ways since he took office. Why he was re-elected is something I’ll never understand or get over. I can only assume that the polling booths were fixed/tampered with….after all, his brother is governor of Florida…….gimme a break!! If there was ever a president that should be impeached it certainly should be him. It’s long overdue. His administration as well as all his republican pals in Congress are all crooks…..just look at all the indictments/investigations going on. The sad part about all of this is that with the republicans holding a majority in Congress, impeachment will NEVER happen. I hope and pray that all those members of Congress go down, as they so dearly deserve, in the mid-term elections. It’s time for fresh blood and all new young “crooks.” Perhaps with their inexperience they’ll get caught more quickly. Humans will never live long enough to see a totally honest Congress. Why is it so hard to help out the poor and middle class while its so easy to make the rich richer. For every dollar that leaves Washington, there are thousands of crooks waiting in line to simply grab it…….no questions asked.
