Burt Cohen of the Progressive Radio Network did an hour-long interview (audio stream) with me this morning that dealt with Izhar Ashdot’s anti-Occupation song, A Matter of Habit, which I blogged about here. The song was banned from Galey Tzahal, Israeli armed forces radio, for allegedly debasing the IDF. Of course, we covered much wider ground than that, discussing the Israeli political scene and the nation’s history from 1948 to the present day.
Give a listen.
Gen. Matti Peled must be turning in his grave.
For readers’ information: I published a piece here by Gen. Peled’s son, Yoav, who teaches political science at Tel Aviv Univ. And Miko Peled is another of the General’s sons.
