I’ve published three new pieces on varying I-P related subjects in the past week. First, I contributed an op ed to my local paper, the Seattle Times dealing with the controversy over an Israeli LGBT delegation seeking to promote pinkwashing through a reception hosted by the Seattle City LGBT Commission. In my op-ed, I urged the Commission to consider how to include a diverse set of political views in any future meeting the State of Israel might try to promote here in Seattle.
Last week, Tikkun Magazine (online) published my summing up of recent events concering the Israeli-Iran showdown. This was the first article I’ve ever published with Tikkun (not to be confused with Tikun Olam, this blog).
This week, Antiwar.com published a profile I wrote of the East Jerusalem Palestinian, Ziad Jilani, who was murdered execution-style by Israeli Border Policeman, Maxim Vinogradov. This was also my first piece published at Antiwar.com.
Congrats! Particularly the piece on Israel/Iran’s a must-read.
So good to hear this. A while ago I thought you were perhaps tired or had the flu, because your posts seemed to be slowing down. Now I know what you were doing. I will check them out.
Not only was I writing the pieces which takes time, but I was trying to get them placed, which can be even more complicated & time-consuming & frustrating. But thanks to those editors at these publications which did accept them for publication.
I also spent a few days with my son at a school camp and did have a virus for a few days…
Richard, I appreciate that you never give up the fight. Sorry you had a virus; hope you’re all over it now. I know how debilitating it can be. And your kids should always be your first priority. I know that because I made the mistake of having other priorities, and I’ll never forgive myself for not always putting my son ahead of everything else.
When I spend too much time writing this blog my wife, and my son, remind me of that as well!
Thanks for your kind words.
Richard, thanks for your sincere commitment. And send my warm regards to your family.
Good work, and well done, nice articles as usual. A good buffer to the crap American media. I am stunned at the poor quality media in the US.
Take lots of Vitamin C, thats what I do when I have a flu or virus, admittedly that is rare, as i’m healthy as a horse.. lol
A Vit C dose every 2 hours usually kills of a virus, you can’t overdose on Vit C because it is a water soluble vitamin. OK, health tip of the day, over.
Richard CONGRATULATIONS If what you writtings can help prevent an insane war this will be a measure of success.
Serge
Good going!
It’s a lot easier to point a finger than to pull a trigger.
No, pulling the trigger when you’re an IDF pilot or U.S. drone pilot is much easier.
