EEEWWWW!! Even David Brooks is embarrassed by his fellow Republicans. In this MSNBC clip he recounts a story of a dinner party at which a Republican senator placed the latter’s hand on Brook’s “inner thigh” during the entire dinner. I’m a little unclear why he couldn’t either have placed the hand back where it belonged or else tactfully excused himself to use the restroom hoping the randy Republican would think better of his foolishness. Is Brooks that in thrall to these low-lifes that he has to endure such torture for an entire dinner party??
What is it about Republicans these days that they can’t seem to keep their hands to themselves and their “members” where they belong? The number of Republican sex scandals in the past year or so is simply through the roof. Maybe if they spent more time doing their jobs and less time cavorting they wouldn’t be the minority party. Or perhaps it’s better the senator had his hand in Brooks’ lap than in the federal cookie jar.
I don’t doubt that Democrats have libidos too and they’ve certainly had their share of sex scandals in D.C., but there is something especially party-destructive about the behaviors of the Ensigns, Sanfords, Foleys, Vitters, Craigs, etc. of the Republican party.
RE: “WHY CAN’T REPUBLICANS KEEP THEIR HANDS TO THEMSELVES?”
MY COMMENT: Enquiring “members” want to know!
Why is it that the liberal left is the most misogynistic, homophobic segment of our society?
Why is it that the conservative right hits on NY Times journalists and you attempt to change the subject? Wouldn’t you call that offensive behavior when the victim isn’t amused by the approach?
