Thank you, Senator Obama. You’ve defeated Senator Clinton in Iowa. It looks as if you’re about to beat her in New Hampshire. There will be no Clinton Restoration. A nation turns its grateful eyes to you.
But gratitude for sparing us a third Clinton term…
—President Mike Huckabee, Bill Kristol, New York Times
Clinton Upsets Obama
The rumors of Hillary’s political death were greatly exaggerated, to quote Mark Twain. Twain was a great one to poke fun at the pompous and we can only wish he were here to do the same to Bill Kristol.
So let’s see, Kristol was wrong about Clinton, wrong about WMD, wrong about Iraq in general. What has he ever been right about? I hope there’s a NY Times editor ruing the day they hired Kristol right about now. But it will probably take another hundred Kristol mistakes like this one before the Times figures out its own mistake a la Judith Miller.
Testing comments. I hope this sends me an email. Please delete this later, Richard.
kristol did not quote michelle malkin, but attributed a michael medved quote to her. thought i should put this here rather than in response to your earlier post about kristol, though i didn’t see it in the comments to that post.

Bill Kristol is about as accurate as Phil Weiss when it comes to these things. That is, they are both shoot from the hip provocateurs who are more insterested in throwing literary bombs than in seriously thinking through complex problems.
Thanks so much, Cindy. You’d have thought Kristol would’ve been on his best behavior for his debut at NYT. I thought the quotation seems a little too even-tempered for Malkin. She’s more the fire & brimstone type.
