First, regarding the “$300,000 to funnel into three to five (2008) races,” how is that possible if the maximum you can give in any one race is $10,000 (except for the few states with runoffs where you can give $15,000)? Second, former Sen. Lincoln Chafee a key supporter? Third, opposing Sen. Norm Coleman’s reelection bid? Fourth, Abe Foxman is right-wing? Enough said. Mark R. Vogel

  2. @markrvogel: First, J Street is two things–both a PAC and a legislative lobbying group. It raises money for both.

    I didn’t know that moderate Republicans like Lincoln Chafee were treif according to AIPAC supporters like Mark.

    And yes, supporting Al Franken in his bid to unseat Norm Coleman will be delicious. Though I know again it will hurt your & AIPAC’s feelings because Norm is one of yr darlings.

    What is Abe Foxman? A flaming liberal?
