Lebanese Gallows Humor at Mastercard’s Expense

Jul 17th, 2006 by Richard Silverstein | 0

lebanon mastercard campaign
Ramzi, a Beirut blogger has devised several new marketing campaigns for international corporations to take advantage of ‘branding opportunities’ for Lebanon’s future reconstruction. They’re dark, they’re bitter, but they’re hilarious. Here’s the best one:

Idea #3:

Brand = MasterCard
Slogan = Some things money can’t buy, for everything else there’s MasterCard.
Concept = We have lost so much in the past few days that the mind boggles. Some of these are material and can be restored, but the most dear could never be.
Cost = Way way too much.

I wish Ramzi and Anarchristian and all the other Lebanese bloggers to stay well, stay strong and take courage.
