It’s pathetic that Haaretz accepts blood money from this pro-settler scum who’d like nothing better than to foment increasing hatred and violence between Islam and “civilized western religions” like Christianity and Judaism.
Promoting the film now, combined with the “timeliness” of the Hassan shooting, provides a terrific distraction from the arrest of accused Judean settler terrorist, Jack Teitel, thought to have murdered two Israeli police officers, two Palestinian farmers, bombed a Hebrew University professor and possibly aided and abetted the gay community center murders.
[Well, his handle will tell you why the comment was deleted, need I say more?]
Impeccable timing, as always. Just as the film “Obsession” was mysteriously distributed via free DVD copies prior to the presidential elections last year, now this garbage surfaces in the wake of a tragedy perpetrated by a very disturbed army major who happens to be a Muslim.
Some people have no sense of decency and, blood-sniffing opportunists that they are, jump at an opportunity to put their foot back on the necks of the Muslims just when it looked like public attitudes were swinging back from the Bush-and-Cheney fantasy of a jihadist on every American street corner.
Haaretz, while usually having the courage to publish more than the lockstep party line of Israeli politics, sometimes descends to the level of trashy tabloid, which is what has happened here. Lest there be any confusion, Haaretz reminds the Jewish population that they must continue to fear and loathe Muslims, who always stand as a threat to their existence regardless of the fact that no Arab or Muslim country has attacked Israel in more than a generation. Why let the truth get in the way of your propaganda, right?
Iraq bombed Tel Aviv in 91, does 18 years count as more than a generation?
She was talking about a war, not a Scud attack.
And Iraq is/was not a Muslim country. Saddam Hussein’s government was secular Baathist.
Ha’aretz may or may not have direct control over the types of advertising that appear on their banner ads. I’ve seen that type of banner ad pop up in other places, including discussions that were sharply critical of that sort of thing.
It’s not the first time either:

and
http://lawrenceofcyberia.blogs.com/news/2008/07/gonenim.html
Such a “defense” (bullshit though it is) simply doesn’t square with the explanation that haaretz.com lacks direct control over the ads. If that was the reason they could’ve said so and sorted it out with the banner provider instead of going to some implausible lengths to defend the indefensible.
Are you kidding me?
Do you not know the background of Hassan? Do you not know what the ideology of Islam teaches? The truth is that the teaching in Islam is evil and depraved. That does not equate to Muslim hatred. Islams first victims are those who call themselves Muslims. I’m tired of this PC crap. But why let the truth get in the way of your propaganda, right?
Thanks for showing us what hate lurks beneath the slimy stones of this country. Where did you come fr. anyway–a swamp?
How courageous, to spout your hatred here where no one can see your face or know who you are.
Do I not know what the ideology of Islam teaches? Yes, I do. Do you?
