One big-mouthed Israel minister running for Kadima party chair may’ve cost the world economy billions in losses:
Mofaz said in a newspaper interview on Friday that “if Iran continues with its program for developing nuclear weapons, we will attack it. The sanctions are ineffective. Attacking Iran, in order to stop its nuclear plans, will be unavoidable.”
…Mofaz’s remarks helped drive up oil prices by nearly 9 percent to a record $139 a barrel on Friday…
This leaves out the 400 point decline in the Dow, not to mention similar declines in other world markets. If only those markets could force Mofaz to make whole those who lost their shirts because of his incredibly irresponsible and politically grasping jingoism. But he sure made Michael “Nuke ‘Em’ Ledeen a happy warrior.
I keep telling everyone that military people are the very worst people to be in charge of a country. IN the US there is a law prohibiting former generals from being Defense Secretary. Harry Truman once said “people ask my why I sacked MacArthur (during the Korean War). I sacked him because he was insubordinate. I didn’t sack hiim because he was stupid, because if I did that I would have to fire all the other generals as well”. But the problem isn’t only the generals in politics, we see, over and over, Israeli leaders sacrificing the national security and well-being for short-term political gain.
This moron Mofaz once came to my place of employment. I refused to go see him. I was asked why. I replied that my employer wouldn’t like it if I showed up and screamed that Mofaz abandoned one of his soldiers to bleed to death because “political considerations” were more important than the lives of his men.
ooops, no idea how it happened? Did I make a wrong move. I just got a message about being banned for ever due to ?Rachel Neuwirth?, whom I don’t even know and then was forwarded to Wiki’s Cyberbullying? Poor little me, bullying somebody netwise?????
Anyway: Good you published your dream on the Guardians Comment is Free. It’s an absolute masterpiece.
So, let me try if the notice is true.

Sorry Richard. I noticed the second sentence asks for a question mark. And changing it in process and then pushing the button again now produced the double.
But I am really relieved I am not banned. After all these issues makes us all cross red lines now and then.
Keep up the good work, is often said, so why not repeat it?
Last note. I know now, how it happened. I clicked on the headline, ALTHOUGH I had already entered via google reader for the specific article and wasn’t on the main site.
So I confused your system. It seems, it couldn’t resolve the conflict that I was already, where I ordered it to go.
I also got banned for cyber bullying but I will try again on this thread
Mofaz threat of war w Iran is only one reason of four that caused the drop in the Dow my son the portfolio manager says.
Another is the report of biggest increase in unemployment in 22 years that just came out.
Another- Fears/realization ( sinking in) are that high energy prices are here to stay because of the underlying causes ( other than war) – this feeds economic slowdown.
Back at ya later if I remember the other.
But still bullying is a stupid way for Israel to ensure survival and it showcases the narrow minds running the place.
@bar_kochba132:
I’d never heard that story about abandoning his soldier. That’s horrible. Thanks for yr comment. Hey, we do agree on something!
