  1. ‘And isn’t it interesting how similar this garbage is to Streicher’s Der Sturmer? What is sad is that these Jews have aborsorbed the poison and become the Jewish Nazis they claim to detest.’

That ought to buy you a few more gigabytes of abuse. I recall a few years ago comparing the expropriation of Palestinian land to the racist reasoning behind the Nazi policy of ‘lebensraum’ – I spent the next two weeks fending them off. Both peoples had been on the receivng end of history prior to the descent of significant numbers of them into this sort of attitudinal toilet. But look at the Germans now – big pussycats, far more reasonable and mature than their Anglo-American allies. Oh they have their recalcitrant racists but they remian a rump.

Still, they had to suffer a massive, humbling defeat to get to where they are now. Perhaps Israel does too.

  2. Gee thanks, Richard, for suggesting to the right-wing nut jobs that they smear me, too. That was very thoughtful

Aren’t you in favor of “sharing the wealth??” I just thought giving them another target to shoot at would take some of the heat off me!

Something about my views drives the Kahanist porn crowd to distraction. I don’t think they’d treat you the same way since you modulate yr views and are not quite as “in your face” about them as I sometimes am.

  3. Andy: We debated including a passage fr. the Declaration in our petition but decided not to. Thanks for quoting this beautiful passage which I hope Israel can live up to some day.

And sorry again that my spam filter caught yr comment. Thanks for notifying me of that.

  4. Gee thanks, Richard, for suggesting to the right-wing nut jobs that they smear me, too. That was very thoughtful 🙂 My latest post on this matter will probably infuriate them but will also upset the far left:
link to realisticdove.org. That seems to be my lot in life…Thanks again for initiating the petition.

  5. Nice piece, Richard.

Jonathan Cook also has a good summary in the current al Ahram–
    ANTHOLOGY OF BIGOTRY

Oddly, there seems to have been zero coverage of this in the U.S. media. Very odd, given how hard the “shared values” theme is pushed.

  6. Say a big hello to your wife and your friends. But your comment sent me thinking; which triggered an exchange somewhere else. I may forward you a link to my last response privately the moment it will show up.

  7. That you anger them is a mark of honor, like honorable battle scars.

  8. Why do you allow them to let you pull down so low in your vocabulary?

My wife & others of my readers agree w. you. The only thing I can say in my defense is that it doesn’t sink nearly as low as theirs. And further, when I read violent porn fantasies like this it’s hard to keep yr language, thoughts & emotions at a dispassionate level.

I feel that ignoring them & their hate would be giving them a diff. sort of victory. Hate shouldn’t be ignored. But I’m not sure what the right response is.

  9. Please allow me a commentary on the: “Kahanist swine.”

Why do you allow them to let you pull down so low in your vocabulary? This must feel a partial victory for attackers.

Besides, yes I have noticed this before, the imagery is always seem always to be connected with excrements and sexuality.

  10. Perfect, Richard! Congratulations!

  11. I find it interesting that Ha’aretz references the Israeli Declaration of Independence, which can be read in full at
    link to yale.edu
and which contains the following paragraph:

“THE STATE OF ISRAEL will be open for Jewish immigration and for the Ingathering of the Exiles; it will foster the development of the country for the benefit of all its inhabitants; it will be based on freedom, justice and peace as envisaged by the prophets of Israel; it will ensure complete equality of social and political rights to all its inhabitants irrespective of religion, race or sex; it will guarantee freedom of religion, conscience, language, education and culture; it will safeguard the Holy Places of all religions; and it will be faithful to the principles of the Charter of the United Nations.”

Not exactly consistent with the JNF bill, is it?

  12. I believe this neurological disorder is referred to in the medical community as “Kahanist tourette syndrome” Richard. I understand it is incurable.
