Their visit is sponsored by FindCommonGround, an interfaith group devoted to the struggle for Mideast peace. It was founded by a Seattle pastor who felt that the interfaith community could be doing more to encourage both parties to resolve their intractable differences. Through the contacts of board members Yaffa Maritz and Barbara Lahav, FindCommonGround has brought some of the most distinguished members of the Israeli and Palestinian communities to Seattle to talk about their vision for a peaceful Mideast (incluing Avrum Burg, Ami Ayalon and Sari Nusseibeh).
Please plan on attending one of these events to further the goal of peace.
