Monsoon is a wonderful Capitol Hill pan-Asian restaurant in a small, warm & elegant room. It serves tapas sized portions at prices slightly lower than your standard restaurant entree. The food is inventive and unusual for (sometimes) staid Seattle AND inexpensive. Like in the best restaurants, every dish is inventive, well-prepared and tasty. Among my favorites are the pan-seared scallops. Vegetarians too can find dishes to their liking. Desserts are also quite good though there are only a handful on the menu & they don’t change very often.
I suggest that you not try to go on Saturday night as the din is tremendous in this low ceilinged room. Everyone wants to eat here then so come on a weekday or Sunday evening.
