I recall Obama’s 2008 supplication speech to AIPAC where he clearly expressed regret that the US was not able to prevent the election of Hamas in 2006, so I wouldn’t put it past Obama to try to continue to do everything possible to undermine and diminish Hamas in favor of the bogus “peace partner,” the quisling Abbas.

I’ve read reports in the Israeli media blaming the Netanyahu government for refusing to release the requisite number of Palestinian captives to satisfy Hamas. Der Spiegel also reports the Merkel government is angry at Bibi for turning down the deal paintstakingly drafted by their German mediator.

It was Olmert’s goverment that refused to agree to release all the so-called “megaterrorists” that HAMAS wants.

The irony is that it was Obama who pressured Netanyahu to greatly reduce the effect of the blockade, giving HAMAS a gigantic political victory which will end any possibility of the official Palestinian Authority reaching a “peace agreement” with Israel on any terms that HAMAS would not accept.

    • It was Olmert & Bibi’s governments (as in PLURAL, not singular) that refused to release the 450 Palestinian captives Hamas wanted.

The rest of yr comment is little more than gobbledy-gook & is pure propaganda w. no backing offered.

Amkes me think about Mark Levine who wrote in Al Jazeera or Huffington Post this article called It’s not the Tail that wags the Dog. just a sec, let me look for it….

    …here it is. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/mark-levine/no-its-the-dog-that-wags-_b_63166.html

As he writes in one of the final paragraphs, the israeli lobby makes the Israelis suffer as well as the Palestinians.
