McCarthy’s firing was simply an on-going partisan purge of the CIA now run by Porter Goss a former Republican Congressman. It is really amazing how far this country as come in viewing things purely in terms of partisan politics and not what’s good for the country. In his blog that I linked to last week Larry Johnson reports that McCarthy donated $2000 to the Kerry campaign.

The Post or NYT in one of the articles linked above says she donated $7,000 to Dems in the last 3 election cycles. It certainly does look like a purely partisan purge as, based on the CIA statements above in which they refuse even to link her directly as the source of the Post secret prisons story, her main ‘guilt’ would seem to be being a Dem.
