Jyllands-Posten’s Historic Role as Hitler Apologist

Thanks to Lawrence of Cyberia for this devastating quotation from Jyllands-Posten after Kristallnacht (for larger, more legible image click on thumbnail image for full-size display). I wonder what Little Green Footballs and Jyllands-Posten’s other Jewish supporters would make of the newspaper’s support for Hitler’s policy of ridding Germany (and the world) of Jews? Perhaps they’re trying to make amends to Jews by goading the Muslim world into a conflagration that might rival Kristallnacht?

Politics makes for strange bedfellows, no?

  1. elemental says:

They would say it’s different because the holocaust was real – ignoring the parallels about the dehumanization of Jews during the holocaust as akin to the ridicule of the Muslim faith perpetrated by the recent cartoons. To draw a parallel between the dehumanization of Arabs and Muslims and the support for the Iraq war which has killed untold thousands, is expecting these people to be able to interpret history in real time. That’s just not going to happen because moral equivalency doesn’t exist in this society or any other.

For LGF and a startlingly large amount of ‘free speech’ liberals there is a double standard that cannot be argued with because you can’t appeal to ignorance.

  2. Irene says:

That is exactly what freedon of speech is; the right to be wrong, obnoxious, or hateful. Anyway, when our enemies are quiet, how do we know who they are? Now stupidity is knowing our enemies and then making sure they have enough money.
