UPDATE: The Washington Post published an extensive analysis of video footage of the Iranian attack. It’s finding is the damage was more extensive than what’s reported in my post below, written yesterday:
The United States and Israel have said that there was minimal damage on the ground, and the Israeli military said Wednesday that its bases were fully operational.
Despite US and Israeli claims of minimal damage from the attack, the truth is quite different:
The findings raise questions about the full scope of the damage to Israeli military bases and suggest that Iran was more successful in evading Israel’s defenses than in April, when only two munitions eluded air defenses and impacted Israel…
The Post quotes one weapons expert counting 32 strikes on Nevatim alone, Israel’s most important airbase and home of its F-35 fleet.

Iran has dramatically improved the targeting of its missiles from its last attack:
…When Iran previously launched missiles at Nevatim air base in April, half fell within three-quarters of a mile of the base and half fell outside that radius, according to his team’s calculations.
More missiles struck the Tel Nof airbase:

An OSINT (open-source intelligence) Twitter user believes there were three missile strikes which damaged a hangar he claims was likely empty. He also believes one or more struck runways. The IDF says no planes were damaged.
An Italian OSINT analyst offers a different account. He believes F-35 hangars were not struck. But that the reconnaissance, transport and surveillance aircraft zone as well as the area housing Israel’s Air Force One and private jets were hit.
Iran also targeted the Mossad headquarters outside Tel Aviv with “dozens” of missiles. CNN reported that several struck the building or nearby. Other reports say they struck a parking lot next to a high-rise apartment building located hear the Mossad base.
The Times of India offers a compilation of videos showing missiles striking various military installations and other locations.

The State Department says it is collaborating with Israel in determining Iranian sites which will be struck in its retaliatory attack. Axios confirms the US will play a critical role in facilitating this new escalation:
…Israel…wants to coordinate its plans with the U.S. because of the strategic implications of the situation. Another Iranian attack in response to an Israeli retaliation would require defensive cooperation with U.S. Central Command, more munitions for the Israeli air force and potentially other kinds of U.S. operational support, the Israeli official said.
The US is urging Israel to restrict its attack to oil facilities and possibly air defense systems. It is warning it not to attack any nuclear facilities. Clearly, the Biden administration understands that if Israel does so, it’s almost certain Iran would repair any damage, then proceed at maximum speed toward developing a nuclear weapon and delivery systems. Any hope of a renewed nuclear deal will be dead, likely permanently.
Contrary to the way most leaders would think, Netanyahu would welcome Iran’s rush toward nuclear weapons. It will give him an enemy with which to frighten Israelis. He rules alternately between fear and threat. He frightens Israelis and threatens the country’s enemies, whom he has provoked into hostilities.
As for whether Israel will defer to Biden: you can be sure Netanyahu will respect our wishes as much as the many other times we warned him about US red-lines. Remember Rafah, return of residents to northern Gaza, multiple ceasefire deals? All ignored. All defied. All showing absolute disdain for the Biden administration.
What are the chances Israel will attack Isfahan, Bushehr, Nantanz and Fordo? I’d say pretty close to 100%. How will Iran respond? Are you kidding? It will escalate its past attack and launch twice or three times as many missiles at Israel. Instead of doing limited damage as the most recent one did, the next one will almost certainly be more deadly. Though Biden claims the US does not want a regional war, he’s doing almost everything in his power to enable one.

Lmao, that’s a great example of israel trying to “save face” and doesn’t disprove the idf’s blatant military censorship.
Next up you’ll try and have people seriously believe that the idf has “eliminated” 250+ Hezbollah soldiers for the cost of only 9 idf, which is even more ludicrous.
Of course, it’s true that the idf is notorious for murdering Palestinian and Lebanese civilians and then claiming they killed “therroreests”, while at the same time drastically downplaying their own losses. What else is new?
“while at the same time drastically downplaying their own losses.”
You can believe what you want to believe but whereas the Palestinian health ministry is notorious for exagerating civilian casualties, and if you believe them then none killed were actual terrorists, whereas Israel never understates its casualties. Every soldier or civilian killed or murdered has a name, a funeral and an obituary on tv and radio. In the small State of Israel the death of anyone could never be concealed without it leaking out to the press and causing a major scandal.
The Palestinian health ministry is generally considered to be reliable in terms of their reporting on casualties, whereas the idf essentially describes every man of a certain age within Gaza to be “kkkkkkcccccchhhhaaammmmmmmaasssss”, which is unto itself a gross and extreme exaggeration of Palestinian combatant deaths.
For example, the idf claims to have killed in excess of 17k “therroreestss” from Al Qassam alone, when the fact is that the vast majority of Al Qassam’s battalions are operational. The logical conclusion is that the vast majority of these 17k killed are non-combatants, to go along with the deliberate targeting of the civilian population in general. I grant you that Al Qassam almost certainly had their overall strength lowballed with the 30k-40k estimations by most intelligence sources, but the israeli claims still don’t add up under objective analysis.
And, no– israel routinely censors the press through military gag orders, so your claim that “they could never conceal military losses” is a faulty one. The idf is also presenting a false narrative of “victory in Gaza” so of course they’re going to censor and lie when it comes to their own material losses– and this can be justified to the israeli public in the name of “national security”.
It is not the “Palestinian health ministry, but the “Gaza” health ministry. They are not the same. No one except Israelis like you and their apologists, discount the accuracy of that ministry’s figures.
Nor has the ministry said none of the dead were Hamas fighters. But the vast majority of the dead are civilians.
As for Israel revealing it’s dead, it has no problem doing so because the bodies are accesdible, while the vast majority of Palestinian dead are inaccessible under rubble or lying in the street, because IDF snipers will kill anyone seeking to retrieve them. There is no way up get an accurate count nor identify all the dead.
the idf has claimed that they’ve only lost 9 soldiers and taken 18 wounded in the duration of their war of aggression and expansion against Lebanon. Hahahahahahahah
you’ll never be safe. Nor should you be.
“you’ll never be safe. Nor should you be”
What an appaling thing to say about a fellow human being.
And just remember that Hizballah broke an 18 year old cease fire on 8/10 totally unprovoked so this is justified retaliation against a terrorist group who for a year are still bombarding Israel with missiles. If, as you claim, Israel doesn’t reveal its dead then Hizballah must have killed hundreds of innocent civilians during the past year.

@shmuel: Israeli media is not producing its own reporting on the Iranian attack. It is publishing videos first published on foreign media, which it cannot censor. Israeli reporters have no access to military sites struck. Further, the Ynet story, almost wholly based on foreign reporting, was published 2 days after the Iranian attack.

Will ICC judges panel react post genocide? Totally despicable … empire’s lap dog.
@Schmuel– take it up with your israeli leaders, who’ve decided that they seek war with the Palestinians, Lebanese, Syrians, and Iranians over a fair peace settlement with Palestine as well as assurances that they will respect the territorial integrity of Lebanon and Syria, as well as a mutual understanding with Iran. This is all on israel and israel’s zionist ideology, nothing more.
In actuality, israel never respected any “ceasefire” in Lebanon prior to last october, and also illegally occupies portions of Lebanese territory as well as violating Lebanese sovereigty via the air and sea.
Also, you’re incorrect. A military censor deals with military issues– if, as you want to believe, responding fire from Lebanon was indeed killing and wounding hundreds of israeli civilians, the israeli military censor would have no reason to hide it as it’d perform well for pro-israel propaganda.
