  1. Hold the phone!

Didn’t the New York Times report that, “American spy agencies…. had learned that China and Russia were eavesdropping on the president’s cellphone calls from human sources inside foreign governments and intercepting communications between foreign officials.”

How can we be sure that the Stingray’s that the FBI had found, were Israeli, and not Russian or Chinese?

How do we know for sure that the real owners of these Stingrays hadn’t thrown the FBI off the scent by making it look like the Stingrays were Israeli i.e. false flags?

Finally, your headline screams that, “Israeli Intelligence Spied on Trump’s Cell Phone Calls”, when in fact, Politico qualifies their scoop by saying that, “.. the U.S. government concluded within the past two years that Israel was most likely behind the placement of cellphone surveillance devices”.

‘Most likely’, means that is also a likelihood that another foreign government planted these Stingrays.

    1. @ Benyamin:

China and Russia were eavesdropping on the president’s cellphone calls from human sources inside foreign governments and intercepting communications between foreign officials.

That is a generic statement that has nothing to do with this particular egregious scandal. In this case, Israel and only Israel was engaged in this particular compromise of Trump’s communications.

How can we be sure that the Stingray’s that the FBI had found, were Israeli,

Oh, I don’t know…maybe because the FBI counterintelligence division is telling us the attack was Israeli, and not Russian or Chinese. Maybe because the FBI has the most sophisticated counter-intelligence operation in the world. And maybe because you’re a doddering fool compared to what they know?

‘Most likely’, means that is also a likelihood that another foreign government planted these Stingrays.

“Most likely” most definitey does NOT mean there is a “likelihood” another government did this. ‘Most likely’ means the Israelis did it. Possibly, there is a very small chance that it wasn’t the Israelis. But that chance is infinitesimal.

BTW, if the Russian or Chinese did it the FBI would be screaming this from the rooftops. Trump would be screaming it from the rooftops (at least if the Chinese did it, he would). The fact that no one in this article directly even hints that the Russians or Chinese engaged in this particular act of spying indicates clearly it was the Israelis.

Now, if you want to drink the Hasbara Koolaid you’re more than welcome. But do stop peddling bullshit here and pretending it’s golden eggs.

You are done in this thread.

  2. You just wrote that, “Given that Israel is among the top four most aggressive intelligence operations on U.S. soil”, and linked to Haaretz.

    Problem.
That Haaretz article you linked is over seven years old!

Even Krusty the Clown would agree that that Haaretz story is stale.

    1. @ Benyamin: So Israeli intercepted Trump’s phone calls and texts over the past 2 years and that means that in the past 7 years Israel has become less intrusive in terms of penetration of U.S. security targets?? IF you think there aren’t a dozen more recent articles saying precisely the same thing as this article, you’re nuts. There are. And before you say or write another thing if you wish to challenge my claim you’re going to go to Google and search for more recent articles because I have better things to do with my time. And if you come back here and say you couldn’t find any, then I’ll go find more recent articles, link them here, and then ban your ass here for wasting my precious time.

      Your choice…

    1. @ Benyamin: My last comment replying to you said you were done in this thread. Yet you ignored me. Don’t do that again or you won’t be commenting here anymore.

My goodness, after his boss said there was nothing to the charges of Israeli spying, he echoed his clueless, stupid comment. How surprising. And you believe things Trump and his underling tell you, why? Because they have such a sterling record of telling the truth?

Of course, they have to show a face to the public denying the spying because if they admit it they’ll be admitting two things: Trump doesn’t give a shit about communications security; and those who are supposed to guarantee such security failed. That’s some major egg on all their faces. Better to deny and avoid the scandal that would ensue.

Ignore my warning about not publishing further comments in this thread at your peril.
