  1. ‘ The deal, if one is ever presented, will make Palestine into a bantustan. ‘

I don’t know what makes you think such a generous offer is in the works for the Palestinians.

Bantustans were permitted to police themselves, and no whites ever threatened to settle in them. I believe South Africa even let them pick their own leaders.

    1. @Zionaut: Which “missile experts said this? Jeffrey Goldberg’s The Atlantic blames Iran using anonymous sources. Quel surprise,no? Not to mention that you think the Saudis have the right to starve hundreds of thousands of Yemenis & bomb them back to the Stone Age w/o paying any price? You are a chutzpan!

        1. @ Zionauts:

Why you carry water for the mullahs is utterly beyond my comprehension.

Why you pimp for Likud fanatics actually isn’t beyond MY comprehension. You were made for each other.

I do NOT carry water for anyone. I call things as I see them & criticize every party when they err. I’ve criticized everyone in this conflict including Iran & Hamas. But there’s a big different between you & I. YOu’ve never criticized Israel and never will. And even if you reply with some lame answer, oh sure Israel does bad things some time, that’s not what I’m talking about as real criticism.

And if you lie about my supposed “carrying water” for any party again it’ll give me another excuse to ban you.

Neither you nor Jeffrey GOldberg nor any source you can muster is correct in claiming there is incontrovertible evidence that the missiles were Iranian and that they were launched by Hezbollah as the Saudis claim. If they had such evidence they would’ve offered it & they haven’t.

Oh & if the Saudi regime is “monstrous” why all of a sudden do you care so much about whether the missile fired on them was Iranian? Oh and please do tell me you don’t care at all for the Saudi royals but you do care for innocent Saudis who might be harmed. Cuz when you do, I’ll point out the tens of thousands of Yemeni children dying of starvation because of the heinous war crimes committed against them by those “monstrous” Saudis.

My what big crocodile tears you shed for the Saudis.

  2. “Lebanon survived a brutal civil war and two decades of Israeli occupation ”

For the sake of posterity, Israel only occupied a narrow swatch of Lebanese territory, along Israel’s Northern border.

    1. @Zionaut: so you wouldn’t mind Jordan occupying a “narrow swatch” of Israel including West Jerusalem? Or Syria occupying a narrow swatch of the North including the Sea of Galilee? Or Lebanon occupying a narrow swatch of the North including Kiryat Shmona? Good, glad we cleared that up.

“In fact, one might argue that much of Salman’s approach has been learned at the knees of the Israelis. They have taught Salman how to wage war on his neighbors like Yemen and how to cultivate proxy forces like the Yemenis fighting against the Houthis there”

In fact, one might argue that much of Salman’s approach has been learned at the knees of the Iranians. They have taught Salman how to wage war on their neighbors like Yemen and how to cultivate proxy forces like the Houtis fighting against the Yemenis there.
