    1. IWW and Wobblies

In 1917, during an incident known as the Tulsa Outrage, a group of black-robed Knights of Liberty, a short-lived faction of the Ku Klux Klan, tarred and feathered seventeen members of the IWW in Oklahoma. The IWW members had been turned over to the Knights of Liberty by local authorities after they were convicted of the crime of not owning war bonds.

The situation grew so intense that even acts of murder were merely winked at, such as in the case of miner Robert Prager, above, who was hanged by an angry mob in Illinois because they “suspected” he might be a German spy. The perpetrators of this heinous act received no punishment.

  1. Ben Shapiro has resigned from his position as editor at large of Breitbart in march 2016. Milo is banned from Twitter so he couldn’t have incited a riot via that platform. great article, keep up the good work.

    1. @ Daniellaniado: I know he resigned. But Hokoana clearly has Liked Shapiro from the period when he did work at Breitbart. I’m working on getting a copy of Hokoana’s msg which is quoted, but not in its original format, in the Seattle Times. Possibly on FB or another messaging platform.

        1. @ Alt-right asshole: Anyone can see it’s a Facebook message, not a tweet.

As for Ben Shapiro, he quit Breitbart because he has half an ounce of conscience. But he was an excellent Court Jew for the alt-right while he was there.

    1. No matter what. Nothing justifies him using a gun. It is really disturbing to read comments that say the protester provoked the shooter. Stop your pro gun mentality. You must understand nothing justifies the use of a gun.

  2. please consider removing the name of the victim from this article. Not only for his personal safety, but at the request of him and his legal counsel. it’s a pretty big safety risk

    1. @ lucy: The Seattle Times, as I noted here, published the victim’s name well before I did. I would never have done so unless a major media outlet had already. So asking this of me, whose site has 1/1,000,000 the visibility of the Times, is like trying to close the barn door after the horse has fled.

  3. HOW the hell could Milo have done this , he has been banned off twitter for months before this event took place…

“Yiannopolous essentially incited a riot before the event via Twitter. He almost gleefully advocates carrying guns on campus.”

  4. Hi. Nice work, congrats. Also we have some objection to some part of above article:
“I regret that Berman refused permission to feature
this important photograph here as a public service.
But he owns the copyright and has the right to make
    such a demand.”
We found this not correct, at least in United States because: Fair Use Doctrine, wich allows publish using news, criticism or educational purposes.
Solidarity with Joshua and Industrial Workers of the World.
    Anarchy

  5. @ Spongebomb: I’m aware of Fair Use. But it’s only useful if you’re willing to get a lawyer in the event that the copyright owner claims a copyright violation and takes you to court. If I’m going to go to that amount of trouble, I want the issue to be a truly important one.
