  1. Seems to me when you are seeking support for something like this, you need to give more details. There is not even a shred of information about which “distinguished” university this is or even the location. Kind of like telling people that you are going out to eat at a restaurant and you would like a donation. Are you going to McDonalds in Seattle or are you going to La Tour d’Argent in Paris? You need to tell people more about this when you ask for help. You will get better results. Maybe even an offer of accommodations.

  2. Congratulations.
How much are you trying to raise ? I read a cost to cost ticket is $800 + hotel’s, rental car, food = $1500 ? which university invited you ? what would be the event ?

I think this is a good thing.

  3. Good going Richard and all the best!!
Looking forward to your news afterwards.
I hope many attend. I wish I could, which most likely would be impossible, anyway, for me. Hope you have a good “entourage” and supporters with you.

  4. @Richard As I recall, you are cited several times over in Blumenthal’s “Goliath” in connection with leaks, if I recall correctly.

  5. The man who [almost] came to dinner

[Yr link] A year ago I met a scholar named Ben Karp who asked if I would come for Sabbath dinner at a Jewish society at Yale called Eliezer.

Oliver Benjamin Karp co-founded Eliezer, the Jewish Society at Yale University in 1996 with Rabbi Shmully Hecht and Newark, NJ mayor Cory Booker. Writes for the Algemeiner.

It’s a long fight, keep up the good work.

    1. Yeah, I realize that any institution run by a Chabad rabbi is going to have a decidedly right wing perspective. You can tell by Phil’s narrative that many of the guests who attended his talk were quite right-wing. Note also, they’ve invited Michael Steinhardt & Alan Dershowitz as part of this series (along with Phil Weiss!). But if people invite me in good faith, I’m going to respond in kind.
