    1. No, actually, don’t add him to the list.

At least not based on that evidence.

Those photos are from an earlier trip to Israel that he took this past May.

  1. RE: “Antony Loewenstein retweeted my post about the 81 shining Congressional stars who took Aipac’s gelt and joined its recent Israel junket. In response to his tweet that called them ‘whores’ (a tad too strong perhaps)” – R.S.

MY COMMENT: Money might not buy you happiness, but it can certainly buy you a Congressman!

    QUOTATION:

“You can’t use tact with a Congressman! A Congressman is a hog! You must take a stick and hit him on the snout!” ~ From The Education of Henry Adams, By Henry Adams (American journalist, historian, academic and novelist, 1838-1918)

MY QUESTION: Does anyone remember that short book of political humor about Congress some 20 or so years ago? Most of the book was about how Congress had essentially become a house of prostitution. But there was a twist at the very end when the author suggested that the voters themselves were the real prostitutes.

  2. Did the Israelis take them to the West Bank or Gaza to see the cowed Palestinian presence, the “Warsaw Ghetto” of our time?

BTW, there has to be some travel records identifying all the congress lackeys, something available to thepublic.

    1. Yes, they went to the West Bank but not Gaza.

The records you to which you refer must be made available to the public within two weeks of the end of the trip.

  3. I wonder if the tour included the Israeli areas under continuous Palestinian rocket and mortar attack? Did the Congress People meet with the families of those Israelis killed by countless suicide bombings?
Maybe if they have time they will be able to go shopping in one of those fancy new malls in Gaza.

    1. They didn’t have to meet with these people, because Glenn Beck already did it for them.

As for the stupid hasbara about the supposed luxuries of Gaza, if you write another bit of provocation on that score you won’t comment here again. This isn’t a point-scoring forum. You don’t get to grandstand for yr cause. If that’s what you need to do you know where you can go to do it–and it ain’t here.

      1. Richard — if you don’t get to grandstand for yr cause, what do you get to do here? I don’t expect reasoned debate, and an exchange of information is bottomless? Admittedly, the guy’s comments on Gaza malls and the greiving families of a small number of Israelis are tasteless and, in my book, “indecent”, but if he gets to be indecent, then he must be answered with decency, however like grandstanding the response appears. Your thoughts?

        1. My problem is the ‘Gaza lives in the lap of luxury’ snide remarks have been published here 5-6 times by others in the past & it gets really old really fast. In fact, I once wrote an entire post on the subject & refuted it completely. If the snark was at least original I’d be challenged to respond. But when it’s a tired retread I rapidly lose interest. To me, this is what I call point scoring, rather than honest debate. If you have arguments against my pt of view, bring it. But if all you (not you personally) can do is rehash material that’s been used a million times before, then why bother?
