  1. Oh, it’s only going to get juicier. I want to see the stuff from Iran circa 1960-1990. Assange is the Kasparov of politics. I am convinced that every move he is making is deliberate. He exposes double standards left and right. None have been mistakes.

The US is stuck with Mossad for whatever intelligence they’ll give right now. The unfortunate consequence of outsourcing your intelligence to other countries is that they will provide you with whatever favors them instead of the reality.

What is more interesting is that the wire-tapping in the United States over the last decade is not actually handled by the US, but by an outsourced Israeli-based company. What is shocking is that Fox News ran the report by Brit Hume revealing this years back.

    1. RE: “What is shocking is that Fox News ran the report by Brit Hume revealing this years back.” – PersianAdvocate
MY REPLY: I believe the matter being referred to is covered in the following series of reports.

Israel Is Spying In And On The U.S.?
BRIT HUME, HOST: It has been more than 16 years since a civilian working for the Navy was charged with passing secrets to Israel. Jonathan Pollard pled guilty to conspiracy to commit espionage and is serving a life sentence. At first, Israeli leaders claimed Pollard was part of a rogue operation, but later took responsibility for his work.
Now Fox News has learned some U.S. investigators believe that there are Israelis again very much engaged in spying in and on the U.S., who may have known things they didn’t tell us before September 11. Fox News correspondent Carl Cameron has details in the first (VIDEO, 04:59) of a four-part series. Published: 12/12/01 FOX News. Part 1 of a 4 part series: Part 2- Part 3 – Part 4 [Links to the other three parts]
These items have since been removed from the FOX News web site:[FIRST VIDEO, 04:59]

      LINK – http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article7545.htm

      1. Thank you for the link, Dickerson 🙂 Yes, that is the four part series to which I referred. That series is but one link to the enigma that unraveled on 9/11.

http://www.buildingwhat.org – a campaign led by attorneys, firefighters, families of the victims, and more.

        1. “An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind.”
          Dr. Mahatma Ghandi

This, however, is more like 1,000,000 Iraqis, thousands of US troops, 140+ million Iranians stigmatized, 1.5 billion Muslims prejudiced against, and the loss of liberty, freedom, and justice in the US for an eye.

          1. You don’t spy on countries (friendly or otherwise) to get even. You do it because you want to know the truth. Even if nobody in the world had spy agencies, the US would still spy on Israel (and vice versa).

          2. That’s not how alliances work, Shai. Only under the US/Israeli prism does that make sense. Also, spying isn’t a term you should whitewash and use generally because there are many different methods of espionage and counter-espionage. Jonathan Pollard et. al. went beyond even the “friendly” spying that you’re invoking.

          3. There’s nothing friendly in spying. It’s not meant to be friendly and is regarded with the highest levels of secrecy. If you don’t think EU countries spy on each other you are naive. Alliances work under a set of agreements, but to blindly trust your allies is the first step toward your demise. Everyone has their own interests and unless you research those interests and know what your enemies (and friends) want, you’re going to be caught with your pants down at some point.

  2. RE: “State Department spokesperson Philip Crowley lied…” – R.S.
SHOULD READ: State Department prevaricator Philip Crowley lied…

  3. I don’t know much about the role in the USA of spokesmen, but in Israel they are often kept in the dark as to the facts to enable them to waffle without knowingly lie.

This way you can never prove that a spokesman deliberately lied, and nor can you prove that the person he was speaking for lied as that person never actually said anything in public!

So it may actually be that Philip Crowley didn’t deliberately lie, and genuinely didn’t know the truth when he said what he said.

  4. Richard, you claim that the killing of Mahmoud al-Mabhouh was a murder.
who do you suggest the west will deal with people like him who are allegedly involved in arms smuggling and other terror activities ? does the west have the right to protect itself ?

      1. I don’t think that it’s about who Israel like and who Israel doesn’t like, its not about a social club membership.
since the US is engage in such activities in a much larger scale than the state of Israel (each operation ordered by the president of the USA, Mr. Barak Obama) i believe its about incrimination.
I know for a fact that unless there are clear evidence linking the target to a specific terror activity, such an operation isn’t executed. and i believe that what is good for the goose is good for the gander..if its this way in israel it’s this way in the US.

        1. I know for a fact that unless there are clear evidence linking the target to a specific terror activity, such an operation isn’t executed

When one of Israel’s ardent supporters tells you he “knows something for a fact,” you can be sure that he’s about to give you nothing more than his own personal conviction that something about Israel is the case. Israel has killed numerous victims without any clear evidence linking them to any terror activity.

I completely oppose U.S. targeted killings as I oppose Israeli. They’re both violations of international law & should be adjudicated as such.

    1. # IlanP)
Mahmoud al-Mabhouh was maybe smuggling weapons in order to protect his people.
I just love it when Zionists try to justify the Israeli occupation and general cruelty to the Palestinians by referring to the “Western war against terror”. Israel is without no doubt the single most important reason for what you call Islamic terror.
Turning around the cause and the effect has always been a typical Hasbara trick. Reminds me of Bibi who in the immediate aftermath of 9/11 said “That’s good for us”.

      1. 1. If Israel is as you say the most important reason for Islamic terror, how can you explain 9/11 ?
        2. Please support an evidence to what you claim Bibi said, i am no supporter of Bibi ( i think the guy is an Idiot) but i thought that one of the fundamentals of this blog is that statement like yours should be accompanied by a supporting link.
        3. Israel and the West, because as stated in my reply to Richard the USA and it’s allies are engage in killings of terror suspects on a much larger scale.

        1. IlanP)
I’m sorry for not giving you a supporting link. In fact, I thought it was common knowledge:
          http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W6LdB24-wU
          http://www.haaretz.com/news/report-netanyahu-says-9-11-terror-attacks-good-for-israel-1.244044

I don’t think Richard would appreciate if his article on the Dubai assassination is hi-jacked by another endless discussion of 9/11, so that’ll be another time. I was just responding to your Hasbara on the killing of al-Mabhouh as an expression of the West protecting itself.
By the way, I don’t consider Israel as part of the West, neither geographically nor culturally, but that’s my private opinion.

          1. I don’t know what’s wrong with the first link: google netanyahu+9/11 is good for Israel+ democracy Now
and you’ll get the link to Amy Goodman; a reliable source.

  5. Reading Richards comments raise few disturbing questions. How come he knows so much from of Israel’s most secretive agency?. (he was the first to know the identity of the Mossad’s incoming head, etc)

I am not much for conspiracy theory. Nonetheless, either this gentleman is naive, who just wants to show off. Or Israelis are stupid for letting him in with their most secrets – so he will publish them.

I am relating to the death of the Iranian in Israeli prison.
How do we (or he) know that, he was not an Israeli Mossad agent, and the kidnapping in Turkey, and his alleged death was an elaborate operation to give him new identity, to throw off Iranian agents from assassinate him.

    2. How do we know, that, Mr. Silverstein himself is not part of that Mossad’s elaborate disinformation again Iran?. I am not sure. Do you?

In regards to the assassination in Dubai, and the “lies” from US state department.
On which planet do you live mister Silverrstein?. Mabhuk was an avowed enemy of Israel. This is a war which was imposed on the Israelis from the day they got their independence. If by now you are not convinced that, the Arabs and the Islamist’s ultimate goal is to remove, or subjugate the Jews in the region, then you need to live among the Islaimst (and make sure they know you’r Jewish). Then after you had tasted their “dhimmi” system of Apartheid, then come back and lecture the Israelis about human right.

    1. Israelis are stupid for letting him in with their most secrets – so he will publish them.

You may think they’re stupid, but I think they’re very brave and wish the best for their country.

How do we know, that, Mr. Silverstein himself is not part of that Mossad’s elaborate disinformation again Iran?

That’s truly delightful. Lots of dirt and grime has been thrown at me in my time but NEVER have I been accused of this. Please, would you be sure to send you comment to Tamir Pardo, who I’m sure will have a good laugh over it as I am since he & I both know that we’re hardly best of friends.

This is a war which was imposed on the Israelis from the day they got their independence. I have little use for racist nonsense & stupidity in this blog. Stupidity is not against the comment rules but racism is. If you commit further such violations yr comments will be moderated. Read the comment rules before commenting further.

      1. Yes, Richard. Allegation of “racism” do indeed sound as “nonsense & stupidity”, until you have experienced it yourself, as much as I did.

In regards to your alleged connection to Mossad. I was just asking – NOT outright accusing you.

Given the fact that you seem to be right in Mossad’s “kishka”, and be privy to their innermost state secrets, can raise only two possibilities.
        a) you just hip shoot with little credibility, (from which unfortunately DEBKAFiles picks on them). Or
        b) you do act as front man for Israel’s disinformation front against Israel’s enemies – to which as Israeli I support you all the way.

Finally, I must admit. Prior to the link in DebkaFiles, I had never heard of you, nor read any of your blog. Simply there are many Bloggers out there who claim to have “inside connections”, and little time in the day to cover them all.

        1. Actually, Debka didn’t refer to my blog. So either you’re lying about how you came here or you did a whole lot of research to find out about my blog since Debka credited Eurasia Review (not me) & ER didn’t even link to my blog though it did mention the name. But it tells us a whole lot about you that you do yr primary research & reading at that garbage site.

Your a) and b) are just as much garbage as Debka. Let us know when you have something more cogent to report here.

    2. I just love the “dhimmi’ allegation. It clarifies the political ideology of the commenter, inspired by Bat Ye’or and her “dhimmitude”-theories.
The status of “Dhimmi” was abolished by the Ottoman Empire in 1853 or 1856, I can’t exacly remember.
I think we should talk about the actual “Goyimitude” instead, the Israeli system of Apartheid. When Moshe “has tasted that, he could come back and lecture the world about human rights”.

How come Zionist supremacists only have max. 10 different arguments ? Maybe their cause just isn’t defendable !

      1. Mister, Cut the “Zionists” diatribe with me.
Arabs & Islamists, use this as euphemism for “Jews” in Israel and their supporters in denigrative manner. They refuse to call Israelis by their real name (Israelis) nor “Jews” for several reasons:
        a) Calling them “Jews” will sound anti-Semitic and politically incorrect.
        b) Calling them Israelis, Arabs will then Legitimized the Israel as the homeland for the Jews.

        b) Zionism was a mere political movements born in 1899. Its sole mission was to put an end to the anti-Semitic madness throughout Europe and ME where Jews were living. pave the way for Jews to have their own homeland where they had originated from.

Since Zionism is only 110 year old – then by mixing Zionism with Judaism, Arabs in their the sick mind, think, it will serve their overall plan of de-legitimize the State of Israel altogether, and render it as only 110 year old group of “settlers” who came from Europe and dominate the poor indigence local people through Apartheid.

In reality, you and other pundits, are behind the times, much like your are behind in other facets of human progress.

Since Zionist movement had accomplished its objective. On the eve of 14 may 1948, it gave way to Israeli nationality. So forget it, there is no “Zionism” per se, It is only exists in the sick mind of the Mullahs is Iran and other Arab/Islamists from the backwaters to civilization.
absolute majority of Israeli pollution today will confirm this fact.

        1. # Moshe)
Don’t call me Mister ! You have no idea whether I’m a male or a female.
I’ve lived for years in the Arab world, grew up among expulsed Palestinians and I’ve NEVER heard this “dhimmi”-stuff. You’ve been brainwashed into believing that Arabs call Israelis “dhimmi”, oh my God !
In fact, many Palestinians, my grandparents included, never use the word “Israeli” because they lived in Palestine prior to the creation of the Jewish State, and also because they DON’T recognize this state built on the ruins of their destroyed villages and on land from which they were expulsed. They talk about “Jews” (which I personnally regret) or “Zionists”.
But “Dhimmi”, never heard anyone else but right-wing Zionists using it. Never. I prefer to call people like you “Zionist supremacists” because I know many Israeli don’t share your racist opinions.
By the way, I wonder what you’re doing on this blog, but after reading you hateful comments, I guess you won’t last long!
To reply to your comment further down: if you don’t appreciate the word “Apartheid”, “HAFRADAH” is okay with me. It’s also a good occasion to spread the use of this Hebrew word.
Just one exemple of Hafradah within the State of Israel, but I could go on for hours about this subject, my maternal family partly lives there, and what they have to tell is worth of South Africa in the ’80’s:
          The story of the Katzir-affair:
          http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/4111915.stm
          In 2005:
          http://www.haaretz.com/news/a-decade-of-dreams-down-the-drain-1.170904
          December 2010 – after 12 years:
          http://www.thenational.ae/news/worldwide/middle-east/arab-familys-home-win-blow-to-israeli-jews-only-policy
If you’re interested – I know you’re NOT – but then everyone else who wants to know about discrimination against Israeli Palestinians, Jonathan Cook has lots of well informed articles on the topic. He’s privileged, living in Nazareth and married to a Palestinian.

        1. Yeah, I ‘invented’ the word after seeing Yoav Shamir’s wonderful film “Checkpoint” which is on the net if someone wants to see it, but realized afterwards that the expression had already been used by someone else.
Please use it all you like so it’ll become as known as this “dhimmitude”- stuff.

  6. Apartheid Ha?
Apartheid if valid when two different systems of justice, civil rights, and judicial systems are applied in the same country, as part of the states official policy of discriminating between one group of citizens and another – based on race, religion or color of skin.

Occupation of West bank notwithstanding. Palestinians are not Israelis, and Israelis are not Palestinians. Period.

As for the Arab-Israelis. They have been enjoing the same system of civil right, freedom of expression, and obligations as any other Israeli citizens. They are not required to serve in the Military, and have 10 members elected to Israel’s Knesset. A Member in Israel highest court.

The fact that, they chose to separate themselves – culturally, economically and socially from the rest of the Israeli society, that is their fundamental right to enjoy.

The fact that, they still practice honor-killing, and pay less taxes to the state, and per-capita have the lowest university graduates, that is their problem, not the rest of the country.

The fact that, recently their leaders have been identifying themselves as “Palestinians”, instead of what they are -“Arab-Israelis”, that is their problem. Not the rest of the country.

The fact is, as long as Muslims are (mis)lead to believe that, the entire ME & Gulf region is is “Islamic Waqf” and all other minorities, particularly Jews, they MUST submit to Islam and live as 2nd rate citizens, that is their problem, not the Israelis.

As I have said it many times before.
The Arab-Israeli conflict is not about piece of land. It is about a state of mind.

    1. Palestinians are not Israelis

Certainly they are. 20% of your fellow citizens are Israeli Palestinians.

Arab-Israelis. They have been enjoing the same system of civil right, freedom of expression, and obligations as any other Israeli citizens.

What a sack of garbage. This is what seems like the 50th time someone has made virtually the same comment. It was deeply offensive & factually wrong all 49 times previously. But I’m finding it more than offensive after the previous 49 times. The fact that you actually believe this garbage indicates you know NOTHING about the lives of 20% of yr fellow citizens. You know what you read somewhere about Israel’s wonderful democracy & the privileges its showers on its Palestinians citizens. Pls don’t piss on our backs & make us think it’s rain as a character in Hester Street says so wisely.

I find this entire comment so deeply repulsive & so flawed that you’re going to be moderated for espousing totally racist ignorant nonsense. Read my comment rules carefully. If you violate them again you stand to lose all yr privileges.
