I know that oil companies are businesses that everyone loves to hate, but without oil, modern civlization would grind to a halt, and in the most extreme cases, lack of oil would lead to famine, plagues, civil unrest and catastrophe. If they are going to extract oil from hard to reach places, there are going to be risks.
Wow, first an apologist for Israeli Occupation and now an apologist for the company which has caused perhaps the worst maritime disaster in American history.
As if this isn’t bad enough, I also don’t believe in the Global Warming hysteria (i.e. that the presumed global warming is due to man-made CO2 emissions) and I also believe that the Warren Commission’s conclusions that Oswald and Ruby were each lone gunmen is corrent. Shocking, isn’t it?
Pls. tell me you believe the world is flat.
There are many alternatives to oil but most of us are to lazy to change. And the big companies tell us that there are no alternatives so most of us believe what they tell us.
Well now there is free oil availabel in US just pick on the beach what you need- isn’t that what you always have dreamt of?
Or is ist not allowed to gather the oil on the beach because it belongs to BP?
It is interesting that I can tell what you position is on many different issues without you even having to tell me what they are. For example, “progressives” seem to believe that all big businessness are evil, therefore JFK, being a liberal saint, could not have really been killed by a fellow “progressivs” (Oswald the Communist) so it just HAD to be a conspiracy of the evil CIA and big business. Anyone who questions the Global Warming hysteria just HAS to be a tool of big business, regardless of the scientific facts. BP, being a big business, just HAS to have made the oil slick on purpose, or through wilfull negligance…it couldn’t simply have been an accident. All they want to do is make money, right, not to supply YOU with a product YOU want to be able to get as cheaply as possible.
I’ll tell you what, if you want to stick it to the evil big businessmen and stop Global Warming at the same time, convince your “progressive” President (you know the one, the who ordered the assassination of various Muslim including the American citizen in Yemen whos name I forget) and his “progressive” majorities in both houses of Congress to slap a $50 a gallon tax on gasoline. That will really cut into the income of those evil oil companies and singificantly lower CO2 emissions at the same time. Why don’t you push them to do this?

The Houston Chronicle reports, U.S. ships were being outfitted earlier this month with four pairs of skimming booms airlifted from the Netherlands and should be deployed within days.” Better than never, I guess. This disaster has gone on long enough. Urge President Obama to take matters into our own hands and declare this a National Emergency. BP has lost control of the situation and experts have serious doubts if their relief well effort will be effective.
