  1. Richard,
I just linked to this article
    http://www.truthdig.com/eartotheground/item/20080923_who_is_behind_the_radical_islam_dvd/?ln

I went to the link “listed it’s directors” which is a pdf of the Clarion Fund’s Delaware State Franchise tax filing.

    See their number? 4247155

Then I went to the Delaware State Franchise Board website, and searched by the number. This is what I came up with, does this mean it is a GENERAL corporation and not a 501(3)(c)?

File Number: 4247155 Incorporation Date / Formation Date: 11/06/2006
    (mm/dd/yyyy)
    Entity Name: CLARION FUND, INC.
Entity Kind: CORPORATION Entity Type: GENERAL
    Residency: DOMESTIC State: DE

    REGISTERED AGENT INFORMATION

    Name: CAPITOL SERVICES, INC.
    Address: 615 SOUTH DUPONT HIGHWAY
    City: DOVER County: KENT
    State: DE Postal Code: 19901
    Phone: (302)735-9719

  2. I just used guidestar Richard and came up with this so it is incorporated as a 501(3)(c) which is EASY to do in Delaware, you just can fill a form out online! (and have 2995 bucks on hand)
    http://www.global-inter.net/nonprofit.htm

Delaware it seems is the easiest state in the union to incorporate in.

    CLARION FUND INC
    270 MADISON AVE FL 9
    % ELI D GREENBERG ESQUIRE
    NEW YORK , NY 10016

    GENERAL INFORMATION

    * This organization is a 501(c)(3) Public Charity.
    * This organization is required to file an IRS Form 990 or 990-EZ.
    * Contributions are deductible, as provided by law.

    NTEE Code

    * A32—Television

    FORM 990 AND EDOCS

    None Available.

OMGOODNESS, they could have filed as A31 which is film and video, but they filed as TELEVISION. Does this mean the next thing we’ll be seeing is this horrendous propaganda film on television all under the guise of “charity”?

They can’t get away without filing their 990.

  3. @Robin:

No, there’s something fishy about the lack of a 990. Their PR flack claimed in an interview that the reason they didn’t file is that they their activity wasn’t “substantial” enough to meet the threshhold that required filing. Sounds bogus to me.

I’m going to research how to report a 501 c3 to the IRS & file a complaint against them. That should generate a 990 pronto.
