  1. This Joan of Arc is still very much involved with SWU and the AJCongress. However, “Joan” is working freelance so she can devote time to her family, and so that she can open her mouth when she feel like being a loose cannon. However, to set the record straight, I did not open my mouth at the screening, I watched the movie, made notes of the comments, and listened to the stories about how Jews would rather live under Sharia law than with Christians. I do not hate Muslims, I hate liars, and CAIR is not upfront with their affiliations to terrorist groups, or those funding terror. As for my “harrassing” [sic] note to Adam Horowitz, I am still waiting for an answer. As to Rabbi Seiler [sic] Feller, he went after me too. I am named in the deposition, and there will be a nice article about it in Los Angeles Magazine. I was protected by the raging rabbi by a student, who held him off of me after he attacked Rachel Neuwirth. I am the voice that was missing during WWII. You can say what you want about me, but I will be open, vocal and use my rights as an American citizen to say what I want, when I want, and to whom I want to say it. I will not be silenced, and imtimidated. I respect the fact you have the right to blog all the insane ideas you want, and demand the same respect.

  2. [edited]

Richard-I don’t know much about CAIR. I have read some of what Daniel Pipes (whom I assume you don’t approve of) wrote about them. Do they support Arab terror groups? IF they don’t, is it said in an unambiguous way, or do they leave themselves an out like saying “we oppose attacks on innocent civilians” which can be interpreted different ways?

  3. There are (three) movies you should see this summer because all of them focus on Jewish values: dignity, hope, love of family and the good – good people and goodness itself. These are movies that are complex but they call us to build a better world and to not allow hate to have the last word.

“A Mighty Heart” is a movie made from the book by Daniel’s wife Marianne Pearl. At no time does the film attempt to re-create Daniel Pearl’s captivity or brutal murder but we live with that bitter knowledge. Through a kind of magical realism we see the world through the eyes of Marianne Pearl as she fights, to rescue Danny. We are almost ready to believe that she and her table of “friends” might succeed. The central story is how Marianne and the small group of diverse people – Jews, Christians, and Muslims – Americans, Indians, and Pakistanis work to try to save Danny. The movie leaves open the speculation on why Pearl was abducted – either he was perceived as a CIA agent or an American or unfair journalist or some combination thereof. His murderers killed him because he was a Jew.

The movie’s point of view is that of Marianne Pearl who refuses to give in to hopelessness and hate. Adam Pearl’s birth is a moment of recovered hope in the face of agony. Daniel Pearl’s last words invoke the memory of his grandfather, Haim Pearl, who helped to build a city in B’nai Brak. I took that as a code to his Marianne and his family to hope and to work for the good. (The other two movies are “Constrantine’s Sword” and “Sicko.”

  4. This was sent to the Daily News after a column that appeared yesterday. It applies to the self-styled Jewish (sic) Joan of Arc, Mrs. Taylor.

    Dear Ms. Johnson,

Naturally, I hope you will reflect on and reconsider some parts of your misguided column of yesterday.

I am including my article written for my congregation, Beth Shalom of Whittier. It was written before the event and includes my viewing of Constantine’s Sword. That brief review is germane but I won’t burden you with posting it. The nature of movie reviewing is that one speaks in telegrams. That’s very difficult for a rabbi.

My remarks against “Islamophobia” are not a permission slip for murderers. Nevertheless, I stand by them. It is a reminder to Jewish people, who have lived (died) with the horrible bloody accusation of “Christ-killer.” We dare not aid in creating a similar lie against others. Individuals killed Pearl not Islam or Pakistanis. Those individuals need to be stopped. The calumny that Islam is at fault is equivalent to “Christ-killer.”

My Jewish brothers and sisters who wish to blame all Muslims are dangerously wrong! For Jews to cheer-on hate is unseemly. In the case of CAIR, they represent nothing more than the interests of the newest Americans. Shame on Taylor and others for posturing as if they are the guardians of the West.

I think that Marianne Pearl says that to all people, in the movie when she refers to the misery people live in, as inviting conditions of hate. Again, misery too is not a permission.

Yes, we live in a very dangerous world. One of the dangers is becoming a partner to hate. Journalists should help us not fall into that trap. I think that was what Daniel Pearl was trying to do in his life’s work.

Your column refers to journalists as people that are targeted. Yes, they are targets but I believe, if Pearl had been a gentile journalist, he may have had a chance to live. Thank you.

  5. “Joan” is working freelance

Leaving aside all the mumbo jumbo about devotion to family & working “freelance,” Allyson quit the AJC where they didn’t shed any tears when she left because of her loose cannon reputation. She jumped to Stand With Us and a few months later she’s not there either. The question is: was she fired or did she just up and quit? And what was the real reason? Could she have been too much of a loose cannon even for SWU? Hard to believe that’s possible. But here’s a hint:

so that she can open her mouth when she feel like being a loose cannon.

Meaning she was too extreme even for Stand With Us. God, is it possible that outfit has some standards after all?

    I do not hate Muslims

Pls. do not make me laugh. I’ll tell you the few Muslims you like: Nona Darwish, Tawfiq Hamad, Walid Shoebat (oh, that’s right most of ’em aren’t Muslims any more–ah well). You like Muslims who no other Muslim would come within a mile of. You’re about as Islamophobic as they come.

As for my “harrassing” note to Adam Horowitz, I am still waiting for an answer.

So that half-apology Allyson offered to Rebecca Spence (“I shouldn’t have done it”) about her behavior in this episode was all an act. Hey Allyson, you’ll get yr answer fr. Adam when Hell freezes over. Is that soon enough?

I respect the fact you have the right to blog

Aw, cut the crap Allyson. You don’t respect my right to blog. You don’t respect anything about me.

    I…demand the same respect.

You’ll get my respect too when Hell freezes over–or when you learn to spell “Yisrael” properly. And when you’re interviewed for the Los Angeles Magazine profile do me a favor and get Chaim’s name wrong as you did in yr comment here so the writer can point out not only are you a loose cannon but you can’t be bothered to remember your opponent’s correct name. And if you’re sloppy about facts like Chaim’s name what else about your deposition testimony might not be right?

  6. My buddies at the FBI and my attorney love your blog. We have a great time laughing, and in these dangerous times, a good laugh is hard to come by. Having enough money not to have to work is a blessing!

  7. My buddies at the FBI and my attorney love your blog.

What a bizarre attempt at wit–or is it intimidation (or both). You must share attorneys with Rachel. He’s monitoring my blog too. The more the merrier. I was wondering what had become of her since my attorney responded to her last threat of a lawsuit. I’m hard to intimidate though.

I was wondering after you quit the AJC, why they apologized to you after blaming you for the fiasco about the group’s resignation from the campus Israel coalition. Maybe you sicced the same lawyer on ’em? If so, they sure made nice to you.

But AJC was a little more candid when I spoke w. them. You burned a bridge or two was my impression.

Having enough money not to have to work is a blessing!

Yes, it’s nice to be rich–rich in hysteria, rich in hate, rich in paranoia, rich in error.

And why in God’s name do you try to publish comments to this blog using a fake name (“Zachary”) but using the same IP address you used to publish the ones displayed here? Do me a favor–don’t ever apply to work for the Mosad or CIA–your attempts at subterfuge are laughable. Apparently, such fraudulent behavior is quite kosher for Allyson. If you hate Jews and love Arab terrorists as Adam Horowitz and I apparently do in her twisted mind, then just about anything goes.

  8. why are you still fighting ww2…todays crimes against humanity are being perpetrated in israel also, and by the same people that stand for all these so called rights and freedoms and ultra humanistic views of equality and diversity…of course it doesnt seem to apply to their own choice for a nation and a refuge….in america, jews fight for inclussion and diversity and the same rights and the same freedoms for all….with regards to israel they lose perspective and claim some kind of special rights due to some special reason for a special people….please give me a break from your duplicitous moral position and uber zionist belief that the govt in israel must do whatever they must do in order to survive…the time is here for peace ….israel will not recognize this time because their heart is hardened against the humanity in their midst.

  9. i say go ahead and be that voice…..for humanity in general.
advocate for dealing with the palestinian people with dignity and stop denying them the right of statehood and return….after all the jews returned there to claim a state after two thousand years of exile…the palestinians were only shooed off the land by zionist 60 years ago….

the people who came back after two thousand years have rights but the people who want to return after being expulsed only 60 yrs do not have that rights?….i guess they havent been out of the land long enough. the palestinians were violently expulsed from their land by the ergun, and the stern and the hagganah…..i say thank GOD for the israeli historians who have dug up the muck on what occurred there…..thanks to them i no longer see through my christian zionist glasses…i now look at the issue as a human being who cares for justice and equity.

  10. this is funny…
My buddies at the FBI and my attorney love your blog. We have a great time laughing, and in these dangerous times, a good laugh is hard to come by.

if you ever read the rosen/franklin indictments you will note that they are watching your uberzionist also….touche turtle.

the fbi is very well compartmentalized as some of your so called friends will be able to tell you….there is another side watching you from the CATBIRD seat.

america is a great country….they watch all possible enemies of the state…count yourselves counted, in america you get diversity and inclusitvity, no discrimination with regards to possible enemies of the state.

  11. this is a reflection of the moral character of zionism…what is there that is defensible in these political positions for a crusader like yourself to take on as a cause…..this reflects the immorality of prejudice, anger and hate for your fellow man….

Sephardic Chief Rabbi of Israel and key spiritual guide for Israeli settlers in Palestinian territory. In early June, he wrote to Prime Minister Ehud Olmert. He offered his decree: having compassion with the civilian population of Gaza is incompatible with protecting Israeli soldiers’ lives. Those holding supposedly humane feelings imperil Israeli lives. The rabbi’s son, Shmuel, interpreted this decree: “if killing 100 Arabs is not sufficient to stop the launching of Qassam rockets at Israel, then 1,000 must be killed. And if that is not sufficient, then 10,000, and 100,000 and even a million. Whatever it takes to make them stop.”

Eliyahu claimed that “all civilians living in Gaza” are “collectively guilty for Qassam attacks on Sderot” and that “there was absolutely no moral prohibition against the indiscriminate killing of civilians during a potential massive military offensive on Gaza aimed at stopping the rocket launchings.”
