  1. I read that David Grossman’s 20 year old son was killed while fighting with the IDF. My heart broke knowing how actively Mr. Grossman had campaigned against the occupation and settlements. Since the late seventies I watched in horror at the settlement policy of Israel and the complicity of the US, fearing that it would explode on ALL of us. I remember Richard (Silverstein) advocating a Marshall Plan for the West Bank and the occupied territories those many years ago. I have no doubt that Israel and the US together could have created wonders in those lands had the right wing not be in control. It is all so terribly sad. And this news of Mr. Grossman’s son as well as all the others on both sides have made me regret again what could have been. Jeanne

  2. Yes, I wrote about Uri Grossman’s death here. It’s tragic & senseless beyond belief. Grossman is one of Israel’s great humanists. Imagine the gifts his son might have offered Israeli society had he lived. It makes you want to scream in rage at the utter stupidity of it all.
