RE: “When I read the penultimate sentence above it breaks my heart both for him and for Israel: ‘for whatever Israel could have been.’ This is the death of a dream…” – Silverstein
CASCADA: “Why can I still believe in tomorrow,
When all I have tried was just in vain (just in vain)
Is it worth the fight I couldn’t start believing that those feelings who died could face the pain (could face the pain)
I don’t need no diamond rings, alibis no more.
[chorus:] Who do you think you are
Cuz once again you broke my heart
I know that love went just too far
Its hard to catch a falling star
But now I finally realize, you’re a brown eyed angel in disguise
Just one step too far so tell me honestly
Who do you think you are (who do you think you are, who do you think you are)…”
“Let us read and let us dance – two amusements that will never do any harm to the world.” ~ Voltaire
“If you can’t get rid of the skeleton in your closet, you’d best teach it to dance.” ~ George Bernard Shaw
“When you dance, your purpose is not to get to a certain place on the floor. It’s to enjoy each step along the way.” ~ Wayne Dyer
“He who would learn to fly one day must first learn to stand and walk and run and climb and dance; one cannot fly into flying…In song and in dance man expresses himself as a member of a higher community; he has forgotten how to walk and speak; he is about to take a dancing flight into the air…” ~ Friedrich Nietzsche
“Nietzsche says that we will live the same life, over and over again. God – I’ll have to sit through the Ice Capades again.” ~ Woody Allen
I sadly agree with the writer when he says that “If you back Israel you will almost automatically be suspect.”
While I am not dogmatic and open to change my views on new evidence, I did wrote things in support of Israel and immediately I was quite demeaned and treated as a propaganda agent for Israel.
And I didn’t like it a bit.
I speak for myself, and I reckon mistakes when due.
Desperate times, desperate measures it seems – very, very desperate measures. What do we think for how long they can keep this up?
