Ynetnews reports that Israeli extremists have defaced the home of Anat Kamm’s parents in Jerusalem’s Ramot neighborhood with the graffiti:

Keep in mind that the far-right settlers have adopted a policy called “price tag,” they believe will discourage the government from withdrawing from settlements. Essentially, it involves low level terror attacks on Palestinian targets for every instance of government faint-heartedness in the face of demands that it compromise with the Palestinians. So the Kamm graffiti should be seen in that context, as a warning from the settler movement and their allies that not just Anat Kamm, but her entire family, and by extension the entire Israeli peace camp are traitors and scum.
The hate embodied in this act is spurred by the statements of the Shin Bet director himself, Yuval Diskin, who has called Kamm’s leaking of IDF documents a grave act of espionage, which it in no way is. I call on the Israeli authorities to protect the Kamms. In fact, one wonders how a woman whose house is under constant surveillance by the police could’ve had it tagged without them knowing. If any further violence occurs, it will be the responsibility of those in government who are fomenting this lynch mob atmosphere against Anat Kamm.
And don’t forget that while the hooligans blame the entire Kamm family for treason, her father is a fully disabled IDF veteran. I guess serving one’s country doesn’t count for much when you’re a settler. In fact, this week the yeshiva students at Yitzhar violently attacked IDF soldiers guarding their settlement and sent several to the hospital.
Kamm’s mother, seen here standing courageously next to her defaced home, sees her daughter’s actions in the proper perspective:
“It’s clear that the Shin Bet built a crazy espionage story. I cannot imagine why handing documents to a journalist is considered spying. It’s just not true,” says Anat’s mother, Ada Gersht.

I mostly agree, besides the idea the house is watched by the police. where did you get it from?
As for “treason” of the peace camp, there’s nothing new in this extreme right wing view. There’s a similar view of the settlers and especially the religious settlers coming from the left wing (which I personally hold, at least about a significant minority of them)
You think someone under house arrest wouldn’t have police watching to ensure that she honored the conditions? Besides, the police publicly noted that she allowed a family member to visit her who was not on the approved list. How did they know this? Because they were surveilling the house of course.
The diff. bet. the left’s view of the right & the right’s view of the left is that no one on the left is willing to engage in violence against the right & no one on the left calls for the hanging or death of anyone on the right. That’s certainly not true of the right which is riddled with actual & rheotorical violence against all its enemies whether Palestinian or Israeli.
There seems to be a misunderstanding here, based on the fact that you assume that the house that was spraypainted and the location of Anat Kamm’s house arrest are the same, while Yaakov assumes Anat Kamm’s parents live somewhere else.
The picture is of her parent’s house which was defaced. Conditions of her house arrest confine her to her parent’s house. If Yaakov assumes otherwise he’s wrong.
I was under the assumption that Anat lives alone. I stand corrected.
You reported earlier that government sources (I forget who exactly) had ‘accidentally’ revealed Anat Kamm’s home address. Harassment at her own place was only to be waited for after this (and intended?). Does she live with her parents? In that case the Israeli government is responsible for these acts.
I don’t know whether she normally lives w. her parents, but that is the condition of her house arrest (living w. her parents).
