It isn’t fair to support something (settlements) that is a violation of international law. And the IOF needs to be supported? Since when?

The HAS advantage credit card allows the card holder to choose which charities to support. What could be more fair than that? The card holder can choose up to 5 charities to support, and decline to support whichever charities he doesn’t want to support. Certainly, choosing one of the medical-related charities will support anyone in Israel: Jews, Arabs, tourists, etc.

Oh I see, Rena, the Arabs are supposed to be happy that the Jews are stealing their land? And they’re supposed to be happy that 1.5 million of them live in the world’s biggest open air prison?

You seem to have no grasp whatsoever of the conflict, and I’m not going to give you history lessons. I see another hasbarist come calling, and I will not engage in the same old tired dialogue.

The ad read, “feed desperate hungry Israeli children.” With a photo of a crying little Palestinian girl. Outrageous.

Hello! Israeli children are both Jewish and Arab.

I am appalled by the anti-Jewish and anti-Israel stance of this website. You are not doing any tikkun – only harm. Do you ever write anything positive about Judaism and Israel? Surely you could find something positive about a people which is fighting for recognition of a very small homeland. Do the Arabs present a more viable, moral solution? Over 250,000 Jewish Israelis living beyond the 1967 borders are not settlers. The vast majority live in lovely homes just like American suburbia. Jews are willing to live among Arabs. Arabs refuse to live with Jews.

I saw that ad! It annoyed me because it seemed to refer only to Jewish Israeli children.

There was another ad on Haaretz recently that was just as appalling. It was soliciting donations for hungry Israeli children and featured the photo of a little girl crying. As it turns out, the little girl was a Palestinian Arab child weeping at the loss of her family during Operation Cast Lead.

Now, that’s crass.
