Tzvee - what other instances? Do you mean the HS bit he quotes from 2008? (not dean of the rabbinical school, that would be Reiss as we found out this week, but tangent.) What does that have to do with Joel either? And actually, can you mention any programs that exist for specifically observant girls? Not saying there aren't any, just that I've never heard of any.

good point about the high school's autonomy. however, rs is justified since he makes the case on other instances as well. of course the hs does use the yeshiva university name. as such it is part of the franchise and joel is accepted as the president of the whole conglomerate, regardless of how the legal structure divides the entities. and its not like this is the only program in israel that is available for the girls. it seems like yu and joel continue to make one bad choice after another...

What exactly does YU's semi-affiliated girls' high school have to do with Richard Joel? It's located about an hour from YU's campus, and an hour and a half from Stern College, if you're curious.

The ZOA is also having an essay contest among college students. The topic: Why Jews have the right to build settlements in Judea and Samaria (the West Bank). There is a cash prize of $2,500.

Pushing and advocating activities which violate international law, and promoting an agenda which effectively cancels any hope of a peace deal with the Palestinians.

It's just another day in the Zionist States of America.
