People should not forget that Obama supported Lieberman when he ran against peace candidate Ned Lamont for the Senate in 2006.

This says a lot about Obama’s values. Is he just another con man?

I don’t know if Obama endorsed Lieberman in the primary. Perhaps he did. However, Obama supported Ned Lamont in the General Election when Lieberman ran as an independent.

What to say? That it’s incredible some are now normalising the despicable Lieberman (A.)? It’s not incredible, sadly rather it’s predictable. But disgusting nonetheless…

It would be interesting to see how European countries would react if Britain elected a member of the NF and then started promoting the possibility of his ascendancy to Foreign Minister…

Gert, you only have to go back to 2000, when Austria elected Jörg Haider’s FPÖ into the ruling coalition. And even they were “only” anti-immigrant, not anti-native Austrians (cf Joshua’s comment below).

  3. Joshua says:

Richard, the better analogy would be to ask Native Americans to pledge loyalty to Christian state that not only refuses to acknowledge the pilgrims played in the genocide of their lineage but also in its present system of discrimmination which gives a pittance of restitution through Casinos and Land Reservations.

Remember, Lieberman wants to expel a native population, not an immigrant population. Quite unheard of.
