  1. @Yalla Vote!: Good stuff. That’s interesting. But the issue was: is their funding foreign & that I doubt. There’s a ton more money for this sort of crap right here among right wing Jews in the good ol’ U.S. of A. than there is in Israel. But clearly there are very strong ties bet. Clarion, Aish & the pro-Israel right.

  2. John Dickerson says:

“Wonder who that could be?” Might he have an Israeli wife?

  3. Cole Krawitz says:

First I heard of Aish in the mix. When did they enter the story?

  4. @Cole Krawitz: Man, Aish is all over this story. Aish essentially IS Clarion. There’s almost no discrepancy in personnel bet. the 2 groups. Virtually every major Clarion staffer works for Aish. The only question is whether Clarion is an deliberate political offshoot of Aish which allows them to have a partisan political element to their otherwise purely Torah learning mission. I tend to think Aish & Clarion are mirror images of ea. other sort of like a guerilla movement that has an official political wing & a military wing. Clarion is Aish’s “military” wing if you will.
