Respected journalist Sy Hersh, on Democracy Now, gives his verdict on why all the Democrats, including Obama are capitulating to the warmongers:
“Money. A lot of the Jewish money from New York. Come on, let’s not kid about it. A significant percentage of Jewish money, and many leading American Jews support the Israeli position that Iran is an existential threat. And I think it’s as simple as that. When you’re from New York and from New York City, you take the view of — right now, when you’re running a campaign, you follow that line. And there’s no other explanation for it, because she’s smart enough to know the downside.”

I thought JTA covered it first

I stand corrected. I don’t monitor JTA as much as I do Jewish Week & the Forward. But FW has existed since March & even the JTA story is pretty thin (though the JTA doesn’t usually provide very comprehensive coverage of what it does write about).

Maybe I’m not understanding you Richard, but I thought JTA covered it first–

And to me the interesting thing about the NYT piece was that it DIDN’T say the group “is being funded by right-wing Jewish donors”. The word “Jewish” was largely absent.

Not at all. Moveon was not founded by Soros as FW was founded & funded almost entirely by right wing Jews. Nor were Moveon’s founders largely or entirely Jewish. You simply couldn’t (or shouldn’t) make the claim that Moveon was a group founded by liberal wealthy Jews.

Besides it’s also clear that the FW founding clique’s affiliation with the RJC self-identifies them as saying their religion has something to do w. their politics. That’s what offends me so. The fact that as Jews they claim their religion endorses their political affiliation.

Regarding “rockin’ sukkot,” I’m glad my readers of all political stripes have retained their senses of humor. Actually, on Simchat Torah we DO plan to rock out w. our kids at shul…a little Torah dancing, singing, what have you.

Rocking Sukkot? by its nature if you rock it it will shake and fall. See Amos 9, 11. King James translate it tabernacle, but it is basically a shack.

Hmmmm, Richard, you sound an awful lot like all those conservatives who were up in arms over all the money Soros was putting into Moveon.org and America Coming Together. Any time a Jew donates money to a cause, any cause it seems, the opposition will paint it as some sort of Jewish conspiracy. I’m in the MoveOn camp myself, but I’m getting awfully tired of the anti-jewish hysteria I’m hearing from all corners these days.
