Seattle Post-Intelligencer Covers My Mudroll With a Blogger ‘Pig’

On Monday, KOMO Radio (this is the short audio version) ran a story about my blog impersonator in the context of the Kathy Sierra death threat story. Today,

http://blog.seattlepi.nwsource.com/netnative/archives/113815.asp

of the Seattle PI has a story about it up at her blog. She’s going to turn it into a column for the paper next Thursday. Feel free if you choose to add any comments you’d like (if you’d like). All of this was spurred by my few minutes of front page fame in Monday’s New York Times.

I’ve pitched the story to a KUOW producer. The station is our local NPR affiliate which does a number of public affairs programs.

Tomorrow, I plan to see if I can speak with either Google’s or Blogger’s public affairs folks to make them aware of the media coverage I’ve gotten. Perhaps the possibility of tarnishing their name might motivate them to rethink their refusal to take down Little Dickie’s Diaper Droppings.

The reference in the post title to rolling in the mud with a pig is explained in Monica’s blog post.

Having known Richard for 40 years (he was my social studies student), it is painful to see him vilified by a blog impersonator. At the young age of 14, Richard was able to see all sides in a controvery and lead the class to see ourselves through our opponents eyes. He had an unerring sense of justice with a particular concern for the oppressed and downtrodden who had few spokemen. We should all be appreciative that he has lent his considerable talents to helping find an equitable settlement to the Israeli/Palestinian dispute which has been a well-spring for Islamic radicalism as well as a recruiting tool for Al-Qaeda.
