Yom HaShoah 2006

Holocaust Days of Remembrance
Tomorrow, April 25th is Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day: T’hay zichronum l’vracha (”may their memories be for a blessing”). The U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum is sponsoring Days of Remembrance for this entire week (April 23-30th).

Elie Wiesel Holocaust quotation(graphics: U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum website)

I’ve written several posts here about the Shoah. One an oral history of Auschwitz survivor, Malvina Schwartz; and another a profile of my online friend and comrade, Mark Klempner, whose remarkable The Heart Has Reasons, was just published. It is a profile of four tzadikim (righteous or saintly ones), Dutch non-Jews who risked their lives to save Jews during the Shoah.
