Sure, a WordPress support volunteer offered to host my site on his virtual server which is what I chose to do. But I can report that after posting to the Mozilla/Firefox forum, I got a ton of posts from folks who almost uniformly recommended DreamHost. Keep in mind it's a bit more expensive. But it more than makes up for this by being completely reliable w. good support and lots of great features not always offered by other hosts.

Based on the uniformity of that opinion, I'd check DreamHost out. I have no commercial connection to the company & do not stand to gain fr. what I'm saying.

Good luck in finding a host. Just stay away fr. you know who...

"But I’m still going to move hosts" - Can you share your experience with the new host (which one?)

Thanks

What a laugh! You ought to do a search of my site for my posts critiquing Typepad. I'm delighted I'm no longer with them. While my current server issues are frustrating, the problems I used to have with Typepad were exponentially moreso.

Shoulda stuck with Typepad.
Their storage and bandwith allowances just doubled.

And I've never had a "CPU Usage" problem.
