Jonah: “I Love Every Person”

Oct 5th, 2005 by Richard Silverstein | 0

Jonah’s grandma has been visiting from Florida. She leaves tomorrow morning (which may partially explain the following exchange).

I put my son to bed tonight and said as I always do: “I love you sweetie. See you in the morning. Good night.” On all other nights he merely replies: “Good night.” Tonight for some reason he said: “I love you daddy…and I love Mommy…and I love grandma…and I love the babies…and [long pause] I love every person.” I was totally bowled over by his wide embrace.

I know it sounds absolutely corny and cliched, but he’s just that kind of kid.
