Hi Richard--I just wanted to say that as someone suffering from infertility, I couldn't agree more with your views on Elizabeth Edwards. While I admire the fact that she has admitted using "fertility treatments," too many people in the world have no idea what that means and see her late-in-life motherhood as evidence that fertility is always something to worry about at an ephemeral later date. Best of luck to you!

Saying "fertility treatments" or "hormone shots" is just code for using donor egg, IMO, for a woman in her age range. At 48 and repeating at 50, it isn't impossible, but just VERY unlikely.

They aren't the only celebrity couple with donor egg babies that aren't saying so. Those who know the true odds of pregnancy and miscarriage rates at this age range understand the "code".

Congrats on your little girl and impending arrival of twins.

Since Mrs. Edwards is so interested in women's healthcare, someone should ask her if she thinks that obesity should be legislated by the government. Obesity is responsible for hugh healtcare costs due to diabetis, high colesterol, heart disease and much more. Mrs. Edwards certainly should be cmfortable and not ashamed of her own obesity.
