If you subscribe here, you will receive a daily digest linking to the new post I write each day.

If you wish to subscribe only to specific blog categories, you may register and then return here to subscribe. After registering, you will see on this page a list of categories to which you may subscribe.  You will only receive notices of new posts in those categories.

When subscribing, please be sure to use a correct e mail address and, if your e mail changes, let me know. If not, your notices will bounce back to me and I will have no way of updating your address. If you stop receiving notices, let me know so I can fix the problem.

You may also unsubscribe by inserting your e mail into the field below and highlighting the ‘Unsubscribe’ button.

NOTE: My subscription service has minor flaws. You should get a daily digest of my new posts. But once in a while you may not receive one. Or, you may receive more than one digest, though I hope this does not happen often.

I find the middle-east situation at the current time to be one of the most fascinating and volatile in modern history. Yet it seems to me, as an outsider, that ancient enmities overshadow other ongoing arguments – like establishing democracy and the western drive for influence in oil rich states. Your blog seems that it may offer a more balanced and certainly more knowledgeable view of events in Israel and the surrounding states.

I may be wrong.

I’ve was an activist for the Zionist side of the issue for many years. I am baffled to what extend I was wrong. It makes me very sad and i feel like I’ve been used as a useful idiot, nothing more. I don’t know how to make up for all the wrong things I said and did. I’m speechless and ashamed. The worst is: I did all this out of good intentions: I wanted to fight antisemitism in my country of Germany, I wanted to make a stance against violence: the truth is: the pro Israel movement is a cult and nothing else. The leaders are disgusting liars that exploit the best intentions of their followers for their evil purposes. My heart goes out to the Palestinian people that are suppressed by these liars.
