  1. Could you imagine the panic if lets say Al Qaeda or the Taliban somehow figured out how to hack Verizon and started sending scary messages to random Americans about drone attacks and illegal assassinations and how they will extract revenge!?… There would be a public outrage and fear.

    1. @ ben: “Public outrage and fear?” Because Muslims would be doing to us what we’ve been doing to them throughout the Middle East for more than a decade? Sorry, but I don’t share that outrage. Let’s stop murdering Muslims and then we can express that outrage.

In cases where Muslims or others have been found to be unlawfully murdered there is legal recourse which can and should be followed by civil rights groups with the utmost determination.
However, an apologetic approach to foreign affairs sends a message of weakness which invites attack by hostile elements.

        1. Couldn’t disagree more, Daniel. Minding your own business is neither “apologetic” nor “a message of weakness”: it’s the right thing to do. Conversely, compulsive meddling in the affairs of other countries is what “invites attack by hostile elements”.

        2. @ Daniel F.: Really? There is “legal recourse” for “unlawfully murdered” Muslim civilians by U.S. drones? What, pray tell, might that be? The U.S. Supreme Court?

Not killing innocent Muslim civilians is not an “apologetic approach to foreign affairs.” In fact, it’s quite a prudent approach.
