  1. I would wonder with the recent Violations of International law by Russia would make most International law null and void in regards to territorial integrity. As the UN seems to be the New League of Nations with the way the Security Council is setup. If the recent actions of Russia from 2008 (invasion of annexation of south Ossetia) to now (initial annexation of Crimea and eventual annexation of half of Ukraine) are a litmus test for Geneva IV it would be clear that it’s just a law on Paper but not in practice.

True the settlements are a clear violation of Law as seen here: http://www.icrc.org/eng/resources/documents/misc/5fldpj.htm
But it seems that the major Settlements are typically included in Israel proper during peace negotiations. So when it comes to settlements its more of a “Yes but” situation of once there is peace they are legal but until then they are illegal. Which IMO is the reason why declaring borders is a critical step towards peace as it will give a clear indication of the difference of what is “Truly Illegal” and what is “Pending Legality”.

Scarlett seems to have her timing all wrong… if lets say there was peace in 2000 or 2008 and Soda Stream was in the same situation it is today, then yes it would be seen as heralding true peace between the groups as any cooperation would be seen as a step in reconciliation. But since there is a lack of peace and recognition of the settlement becoming apart of Israel thus it is seen as Illegal. One must then ask is it the problem of the worker or the bus owner that the two sides have not made peace? Should both sides be restricted due to this lack of peace that should have been made years ago?
This IMO is up to conjecture…
there is peace they are legal but untill then they are illegal.
